We
love them soo much and they are soo spoiled. We also wanted to let you
know that Missy the glider that we brought to you to have your opinion
on is a totally different glider now. She has all her fur back and
since she has been on a proper diet her fur is back to grey not that
red brown color. I read that a standard grey glider can lose its color
if it is not getting the nutrients that it needs. She is also very
happy, and loves to come out of her cage now and loves to lick my hand.
She is a completely different glider now. Austin the male is doing
great as well. His color has actually gotten brighter. I know we didn't
get them from you but because you helped us with them I just wanted to
give you an update on them too

Hello Tina!
Its Bethany, i recently bought a sugar
glider from you,and told you that i would keep in touch
so I figured I'd do that tonight. Silas is
going great. He doesn’t crab much at all anymore, only when there is a
new person around. Or in my dad’s case, he had just come home from
work, and his hands were dirty. Silas didn’t seem to like that
too much. lol
He is very playful, usually keeping me up in
the middle of the night either playing with his straw, or climbing the
ropes. I’m not sure why, but he absolutely Loves straws. And Silas has
informed me that he does not like thunder storms. I found that out the
hard way, I saw that it was scaring him and thought I should pick him
up and comfort him, but, he sniffed my finger, bit me, and ran to his
bed. Although it was frustrating at first, he has bonded with me
amazingly. Well that’s all I have to say for now. I hope everything is
going good on your end

I
just have to say that you and your husband are some of the nicest
people i have met. You were so helpful and my joeys are just perfect
for me. The leadbeaters kit was so easy to make and i am really excited
to watch them grow and having the bonding experience. I appreciate
that i can contact you if i ever need some advice, who better to
ask than their breeder. One of the girls never crabs and is alot more
curious than the other, the other girl not so much alot more shy and
cautious. As soon i opened the bag and put them in their cage one girl
came right out and explored the cage and my other girl stayed in her
bag until she felt more comfortable to come out. Hopefully she came out
to eat, i didnt see them eat but i know they did and also drank water
from their bowl. like i said hopefully their both eating together. I
set up two bowls just in case one girl is more dominent than the other.
Again thanks for everything if i give anyone the sugarglider bug i will
definatly send them your way you guys are great. Thankyou :)

Hey
Don, Kilala got out of the pouch and explored the entire car, at times
climbing on us. When I stopped for gas, I got the yogurt treats from
the trunk and we were able to get her to go back into the pouch. When
we got home we introduced her to her home at my house, gave her water
which she drank like a little puppy and fed her the biscuit. After
chowing down, she hung out with Tanner for a bit, put her in the cage
and said good night. We are very happy that we met you guys, and made
the choice of driving. You were very generous and totally awesome
people. Thank u so much, we will keep in touch and I am sure we will be
adding to our Glider family. I am also going to see if I can put an add
in our news letter to start populating connecticut with your Gliders.
We have 5,400 members. Thanks again, talk to you soon. Carlos

I
would recommend you to anyone who is interested! You are such a
wonderful person! I really enjoyed the whole process of
adoption. Not only were you incredibly informative, but so
caring, too. As a business, Granite State gliders is very
professional, clean, and reputable. It has been a terrific
experience all around! - Mary B-

Hi
Don! Thank you to both you and Martina for taking the time to do
the presentation. Consumers and staff, alike, thoroughly enjoyed
it. -Marthe-

Hello,
Martina! How good to hear from you! The gliders are great!
Their personalities are completely developed now, of course! They could
not be more opposite! Ryan and I love them, though. They are such
great little pets - we adore them! -Mary-

Hi
Don and Martina,
I
just wanted to thank you again for coming to the AGS New England Show
with your sugar gliders. If I had to choose one word, I would say that
the members and guests were AWED by the gliders. They are so beautiful
and fascinating! It's just wonderful you have brought these lovely
animals to the region. Donna is already talking about how she simply
must get one if she's going to write a book about them! If they were
allowed here I would be thinking the same thing!
Anyway,
please accept my thanks again on coming to the show and putting on such
a wonderful presentation. It made a huge impact and people will be
talking about it for a long time. -Libby. AGS NE Show 2006 Coordinator-

I
was going to write you this week actually, and check in with you. So
much to say! Toggle is awesome, we're getting along pretty well. I've
put some work into correcting her sleep schedule, as we discussed.
She's a bit of a bag baby, and I have to take her pouch out of the cage
after I get her up, or zoom, right back in she goes. She's doing
better, though, getting up sometime between 7-9pm, and staying up until
8 or 9am. You were right - my patience pays off with her. She comes to
my hand now when I put it out for her and if she does hop off of me or
out of her cage (which she does infrequently), getting her back is a
simple matter of showing her her pouch, and she climbs right in. She
started doing something that I can only describe as "grooming" me. She
runs up to my shoulders and scrapes or combs at my hair. I tried to
stop her from doing this before I understood what was going on, but I'm
pretty sure she's trying to groom me, like I was another glider. Is
this a behavior that you've seen between Glider/Owner before? Or am I
misinterpreting this?
Also,
something I want to share with you, that I think you'll appreciate. I
took Toggle with me on a trip to New York to see some family (mainly
because I had no one locally to look after her properly, and because it
was a short trip). I took her to visit my Grandmother. I was raised by
her, and visit her often. She suffered a severe stroke four years ago,
and was almost completely paralyzed (aside from her left hand, to some
extent). Being so limited, and unable to speak, she's grown more and
more withdrawn from the world ever since (understandably), and
sometimes it's hard to even get her to register your presence.
I
brought Toggle with me (Grandma has always been an animal lover.
Martina, I almost cried to see them together, in honesty. She was
laughing and petting her and generally happier and more attentive than
I've seen her in years. Toggle even seemed to understand (no matter how
silly that seems), and sat still in my hand to be petted for a little
while. I could not believe the potent effect that this little creature
had on someone who had been so removed from the world for so long. She
very much enjoyed her time with the Sugar Glider. It's my intention to
try to make Toggle's visits a much more regular thing... call it
"glider therapy", if you will.
All
in all, this feels like a great success. She's sleeping, eating, and
playing right. I know she's probably lonely, but for now, she's a happy
little glider.
As
always, thanks for your help and concern. I love my Sugar Glider!

Toggle
and Switch are so big now, probably a full adult size, or very close
(they seem to have caught up to each other, anyhow. Boy, telling them
apart can be tough!) They are the sweetest little things I could hope
them to be. Both of them have developed distinct personalities (Toggle
is cranky when she wakes up, Switch is extremely vocal at 3am, things
like that). As the result of the advice you gave me, and the careful
handling I'm certain they received before they became a part of my
life, the girls have been a source of great joy and enrichment to me. I
could get into all kinds of specifics, but for the sake of brevity,
they've been so wonderful, and every day I learn a little bit more
about them, and every day we grow a little bit closer. Thanks again for
helping me find the perfect friends for me! -Justin-
